The subject of self-sufficiency has been on my mind for a while now and it eventually brought me to Alaska. I wasn't planning on making a film at first, I only brought my sony a6000 with a kit lens. I quickly realized that I want to tell a visual story of this place and these people. I later traveled to Lapland to meet the very talented Guy Geffen and film some more. Guy was a tremendous help and a master of filming in harsh conditions.
